Join Sonya for this journey into meditation. What is meditation? It is simply paying attention to your mind in a sustained and voluntary manner -- a conscious absorption of the mind and body in focused concentration. 

New and curious to the practice or experienced and want to learn more? Would you like to take the time to learn and explore exactly HOW to meditate? Maybe you've tried to meditate and felt something just wasn't clicking... you weren't doing it "right." This workshop is for you! 

This 3 part series will explore simple, accessible meditation techniques including: 
- What IS meditation and what to expect from a daily practice
- Myths and road blocks to mental calm
- Hong-sau meditation
- What is a mindfulness practice
- Guided visualization
- How to create a routine practice and actually stick with it! 

Sonya is a 500hr RYT in Advanced Yoga Psychology and a certified Ananda Meditation Instructor.
